For some reason, my family loves to remind me that the world does not revolve around me. Although I think they point out this fact at a rate that is possibly highly detrimental to my ego, they have a point. Sometimes I can get caught up in personal trials, tribulations, and semi traumatic events, and consequently forget to be grateful for all the good things that come my way. Even when I talk about a situation that is truly nothing short of a miracle, I sometimes feel the need to point out the smallest imperfections. It’s a problem, I know.
