With New Faces & New Space

 

HOUSTON (November 5, 2008) - Houston-based writer, editor and entrepreneur, Dusty Gilbert, recently announced the expansion of her new company, bareCommunication, originally founded in her Heights area home, in August 2008.

 

With fresh faces and a New York-inspired loft-style office space in Winter Street Studios (winterstreetstudios.net), the company's rapid growth is proof that both the public and business world are intrigued by the firm's commitment to honest communication, sense of responsibility and dedication to public service.

 

Opening the doors shortly after Hurricane Ike, bareCommunication now calls a traditional artists' studio home. Open Monday through Friday, 9:00-6:00pm, studio 31,  their new abode is just minutes west of downtown, located off of Sawyer Street.  

 

In addition to their new office space, bareCommunication welcomed two new employees, Laura La Rue and Marylu Rodriguez; both with media, public relations and creative experience.  True to bare's mission, the energetic new staff members accentuate the personality of organic communication through innovative thought, technique and their personal approach to communication.

 

Laura J. LaRue, Communication & Public Relations Director for bareCommunication, maintains longstanding experience in the areas of public relations, marketing, event planning and writing. Currently, La Rue oversees all facets of the public relations and marketing initiatives for bareCommunication; including strategic planning, campaign development and collaborative partnership expansion with the goal of supporting the organic success of bareCommunication's clientele.

 

Through the utilization of interpersonal relations techniques to skillfully and creatively cultivate relationships, La Rue is able to effectively engage the public and represent the stories and mission of her clients with and phenomenal results.

 

Due to her exceptional attention to detail and efficient implementation of innovative thought, she achieves the highest levels of notoriety and recognition for bareCommunication clients. Furthermore, with a proven track record for successfully releasing new products, concepts and events to the public, her methods insure that the message reaches the most strategic and targeted range of editorial and promotional venues available.

 

Marylu Rodriguez, Associate Editor at bareCommunication, works efficiently with the written word. As Associate Editor, Rodriguez's duties include copywriting, copyediting, assisting editorial production and graphic design.  She also serves as Assistant Editor for skirt! Houston, an online magazine that is "all about women- their work, play, families, creativity, style, health and wealth, bodies and souls. skirt! is spirited, independent, outspoken, serious, playful and irreverent, sometimes controversial, and always passionate."

 

With a lifelong interest in media, Rodriguez's expertise transformed into a career at a growing Houston-based AM Radio station. Having started as an intern, Accumulating significant radio experience, Marylu climbed the ladder to eventually become an Assistant Producer. Additionally, her writing skills lead her to become a staff writer/copy editor where she wrote radio spots and  maintained her own blog.

 

bareCommunication was established as a private firm committed to the strictest standards of integrity and excellence in the areas of media production, journalism, public relations, new media, traditional marketing, experiential marketing and advertising.

 

Born of both optimism and distress, the concept for bareCommunication materialized after observing the state of the media industry. Ms. Gilbert envisioned hope for the future in the fundamentals of the past.
