More than 150 guests gathered at Artista on Thursday, August 27, for ARTcetera, a live art event that featured artist John Palmer and several other esteemed artists inlcuding Shelley Shanks, Taft McWhorter, Micah Simmons, Hanh Tran, Kelley Devine, David Wilhelm, Roberto Castillo, Belinda Smith, Greg Scott, Rebecca Benitez, Carol McKee and Elizabeth Cencini.

Guests enjoyed live entertainment from Arthur Yoria and emcee Johnny Bravo of Jack FM, light bites and mojitos compliments of Artista, light painting photography by David Wilhelm, an opportunity to become an artist with the collaborative piece, a silent auction and of course, live art by 13 artists, all of which the guests could bid on in a silent auction.

The event benefited The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and raised more than $10,000.  Co-Hosts Laura La Rue and Chryl Hoz are members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Texas Gulf Coast Team in Training program and raise funds for the organization annually.
