Fox 26's Melissa Wilson recently checked out The Center for Beautiful Bodies to see what the modern aesthetics facility had to offer.

HOUSTON - As people start gearing up for swimsuit season, the number of patients undergoing plastic surgery and procedures goes way up.

We followed one local woman, Pam Green, as she underwent Vaser liposuction at the Center For Beautiful Bodies in Houston.

It's different from traditional lipo because her surgeon, Dr. Amir Rassoli, placed five ports in her abdomen: one under her each breast, one in her naval, and two in her low pubic region.

Dr. Rassoli says these will leave very little scarring and are in areas that cannot be seen. He used those ports to fill up her abdomen with a solution that numbs the area and shrinks the blood vessels.

Then the Vaser technique uses technology that breaks up fat with sound waves.

This took about 4-hours and she was awake throughout it. She took a medication to relax her, before the procedure.

Dr. Rassoli says, "Vaser lipo is a way to sculpt the body. I would say if Michael Angelo was alive - he would be a plastic surgeon because this procedure is so exciting, so innovative, more and more surgeons need to use it."

Green says she's pleased with the results, one week after her procedure. Her clothes already fit more loosely. She will have to wear a garment around her abdomen for two weeks all day, and another two weeks only at night.

The main risks for this procedure include bleeding and infection. For more information, you can go to: www.centerforbeautifulbodies.com.
