Sammy's at 2016 Main, the hippest, most enthusiastic live entertainment venue in Houston, recently launched Rockstar Karaoke and the Main Street Rockstar Competition, bringing "LIVE BAND" Karaoke to Houston the last Friday of every month.

This Friday, March 27th, Rockstar Karaoke and the Main Street Rockstar Competition will be hosting the theme "Jukebox" that will benefit Cancer Counseling, Inc., whose mission is to assist cancer patients, their families, and friends in coping with the emotional effects of cancer on their lives through no-cost professional counseling and community education.

In support of local nonprofits struggling to make a positive impact in the community despite dismal economic conditions, Sammy's at 2016 Main, in partnership with bareCommunication, is ready to help! With a different non-profit beneficiary every month, Sammy's will provide participating non-profits with a cash donation equal to 50% of signature drink sales during their dedicated evening.

In December 2009, Sammy's will host the final Main Street Rockstar Competition, a face-off between the winners of all the previous competitions. The winner of the final competition will walk away with $500 cash and will choose one participating organization to share in the rewards of their vocal victory. The chosen charity will receive a free fundraising event at Winter Street Studios including a special catering bonus from Beavers.

In the fabulous debut of Rockstar Karaoke on January 30, more than 500 eager guests showed up to participate in the first installment of the new and exciting events that featured the band, Time Machine, an energetic group that is famous for producing successful live band karaoke shows.
